Large Scale Solar Farm Development
The Dumaresq Solar Farm is a proposed circa 190MW PV development with associated large scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) on site
Project Location& Status
The Project Site is located approximately 75 kms north of Inverell in Regional New South Wales in Regional New South Wales. The site offers a number of superior elements including being intersected by Transgrid's 330kv Dumaresq to Bulli Creek Interconnector, low impact on surrounding areas and no direct line of site from any neighbouring property homestead.
The project is in advanced planning phase. The Scoping Report has been submitted and as at 15th February 2020 we are awaiting the issue of SEARs. The Initial Technical Advice from Transgrid has been received and investigations on connection are advancing. As a result of a hard deadline of 30 June 2023, and despite from being weeks from submitting our EIS to the Department for assessment, we have had to withdraw the existing application and undergo the process of reapplication. Letter to the Department withdrawing the current SSD 10427 is below.
The new SEARs was issued by the Department on 28 September 2023, and EIS is currently being finalised in parallel with ECI activities on various packages of work which will relate to the eventual construction of the project.
Investment & Employment
It is estimated that the Investment Capital associated with this project will be not less than A$225,000,000 and will offer approximately 150+ jobs during construction phase and around 5 full time jobs for the long life operation of the asset
Landowner support for the project has been secured and a detailed and careful Community Consultation process will take place ahead of seeking final Development Approval
